Video Memorial TributeBarbara Sharon Barmer, 68, of Como, MS, passed away Wednesday evening, June 12, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2013, with Reverend Gary Beadles presiding. Burial to follow in Fulman Cemetery, Como, MS. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at Wells Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barmer was born in Panola County, Mississippi, to Edith Mattson & William Thompson on June 27, 1944. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Coldwater, MS. Many will remember Mrs. Barbara from Rascals Convenient Store, where she was a cashier. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, watching game shows on tv and spoiling her grandchildren.
Those whom she left behind to cherish her memory include one daughter, Becky Scott Raburn of Como, MS; 2 sons, Walter Lee Barmer, Jr. of Senatobia, MS and Jim Scott of Como, MS; 3 brothers, Gary Thompson and Toy Thompson both of Batesville, MS and Clarance Thompson of Nashville, TN; along with 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Barmer, Sr. and one sister, Grace Henry.
