Joyce Sue Gordon, age 61, wife of C.B. "Flash" Gordon of Batesville, passed away on Monday morning, June 3, 2013 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. The funeral for Mrs. Gordon will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ricky McKay and Mr. Robert Rawson officiating. Interment to follow in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Sue was born to Bobby Gene & Edwena Patricia Whitman Jaco on May 18, 1952. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Batesville. Mrs. Gordon was employeed with Fruit of The Loom of Batesvile for 17 years as a seamstress. Her survivors include: husband, C.B. "Flash" Gordon of Batesville; 3 daughters: Kim Barnes of Oxford, MS, Sara LeAnn McMullen of Savannah, GA, Megan Courtney Wilson of Sardis, MS; 6 sisters: Wanda Shields of Courtland, Arlene Robertson of Batesville, Carlene Jaco of Sarah, MS, Roena Robertson of Batesville, Diane Wiginton of Jackson, TN and Lila Darby of Colorado Springs, CO; 4 brothers: Kelly Jaco, David Jaco, Allen Jaco all of Batesville and Terry Jaco of Independence, MS; 6 grandchildren: Katie Barnes, Chase Barnes, Jonathen Tindall, Matthew Tindall, Timothy Wilson, III, Emma Wilson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Clarence B. Gordon, III; grandson, Jordon Howard Tindall; 4 brothers: Bobby Todd Jaco, Timmy Glenn Jaco, Jerry Lynn Jaco and Stephen Dean Jaco. Memorial donations may be made to the Dream Riders Biking for Children Chapter A, C/O Regina Bennett, P.O. Box 206 Water Valley, MS 38965 or Good Hope Baptist Church, 1516 Good Hope Rd, Batesville, MS 38606.
