Guy Goodman Carter

Guy Goodman Carter, Jr. age 71, husband of Anita Louise Mask Carter, died at his home in Batesville, MS Sunday evening 5/26/13. The funeral for Mr. Carter will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Doug Pepper officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday. Guy was born to Guy Goodman & Ora Windham Carter on February 23, 1942 in Union County, MS. He was a Army National Guardsman and a retiree from the Mississippi Department of Transportation after 44 years of service. Mr. Carter was a member of Terza United Methodist Church in Batesville. Those whom he leaves behind, include his wife, Anita Louise Mask Carter of Batesville, 2 sons, Chris G. Carter of Courtland, MS and Monty Guy Carter of Batesville, 2 sisters, Kathryn Carter Demery of Memphis, TN and Wanda Carter Holt of Oklahoma City, OK along with 3 beautiful grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both his parents and a brother, James Carter.
