J.C. "Curt" Daniels

J.C. "Curt" Daniels, age 66, passed away Saturday morning, May 18, 2013 at his home in Batesville, MS. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Forrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home. Those officiating the service will be Reverend Mark Martin of Austin, AR, Reverend Joe Aldridge of Jonesboro, IL and Reverend Kevin Crofford of Sardis, MS. Curt was born March 2, 1947 in Toccapola, MS in Pontotoc County to the late Ivy Earl and Ola Morris Daniels. Curt retired with 35 years of service from Illinois Central Railroad with the last 17 years serving as a track supervisor. He was a member of Sardis Lake Baptist Church. Those Curt leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Opal Evelyn Pinion Daniels of Batesville, MS; son, Jimmy Wayne (Beth) Daniels of Cabot, AR; daughter, Tamela Violet Daniels (Tony) Martin of Fenton, MO; four sisters, Emma Jean Allen of Toccapola, MS, Myrine Koger of Lambert, MS, Wanda Hall and Nelda Fagon of Toccapola, MS; three brothers, Earl Daniels of Marks, MS, William Daniels of Houlka, MS, Frankie Daniels of Sherman, MS; five grandchildren, Lauren (Daniel) Edrington, Ashley Daniels, Joshua Martin, Jarod Martin, Sarah Martin; 1 great-grandchild, Gracelyn Elizabeth Edrington. Curt was preceded in death by three siblings; Violet Daniels, Kenneth Wayne Daniels and Freddie Daniels.
