Hazel B. Laster

Hazel B. Laster, age 84, of Sardis, MS passed away Friday morning, May 17, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2013 in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mike Ragan presiding. Burial will follow in Marks Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Mrs. Hazel was born to Berry & Pearl Floyd Baker on May 15, 1929 in St. Francis, AR. She was a homemaker and member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Batesville, MS. Her survivors include, two daughters, Linda Burks of Sardis, MS and Tina Jeter of Pontotoc, MS, 3 sons, Richard Laster of Long Oak, AR, David Lewis of Pontotoc, MS and Brian Lewis of Saltillo, MS, 6 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her former husbands Clarence Lewis and Benny Richard Laster and 2 daughters, Shirley Temple Lewis and Lucy Self.
