Barbara Ann Cook Hardin, age 65, passed away Sunday morning, April 28, 2013 at her home near Batesville, MS.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with visitation beginning two hours prior to the service at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS with Rev. Terry Floyd officiating. Wells Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Barbara was born to Guy Mac & Louise Oglesby Cook on February 24, 1948 in Batesville, MS. During her lifetime she was a restaurant owner, factory worker and homemaker, but most will remember her as a caregiver. When she saw someone in need, she assisted before she was asked. Mrs. Barbara was a member of First Faith Baptist Church in Batesville.
Her survivors include one daughter, Teresa Diane Wright of Batesville, son, Jimmie H. "Bubba" Hardin (Kim) of Batesville, sister, Donna Faye Roberson of Tupelo, MS, 2 brothers, George Everette Cook of Clarksdale, MS and Ricky Lee Cook of Tupelo, MS, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Those who preceded her include her parents, 3 sisters, Betty Joe Yablonsky, Virginia Darby and Patsy Jean Roberson, one brother, Guy Mac Cook, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Hardin, Todd Jaco, Tripp Hardin, Tyler Hardin, Heath Hudson and Don Ward. Brice Belvin and D.J. Jackson will serve as honorary pall bearers.
