Video Memorial TributeJanice Faye Wardlaw Dulany, age 68, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday morning, April 13, 2013 at Baptist Memorial East Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Milton Cline “Big Daddy” Wardlaw and Ludie “Lulu” Breazeale Wardlaw of Batesville, MS. She was born in Oxford, MS on April 21, 1944.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 19, 2013 in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church of Batesville. Pastor John Howell, Jr., Pastor Richard "Dick" Hill, and Pastor Jerry Parker will officate the service. Private interment will follow. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening inside the Activities Center of the First United Methodist Church. Prior to the funeral service on Friday, visitation will be held, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the church Activities Center.
Janice, a Christian and student of God’s Holy word, was a member of Curtis Union Church. She was a spiritual mentor, edifier, encourager and friend to all. She possessed the gifts of hospitality and mercy. She was a charter member of Batesville’s Junior Auxiliary and Batesville’s Sub-Deb Cotillion Club. Janice was an avid Ole Miss Rebel fan. She graduated from Batesville High School in 1962 and went on to further her education at Millsaps College in Jackson, MS then on to Northwest Jr. College. Many will remember Mrs. Dulany as the Co-founder of CCDulany Designs, where she was an Interior and Custom Home Designer.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Janice leaves her husband, Charlie Cecil Dulany of Batesville, MS, a son, “Chuck” Cecil Johnson and wife, Kay of Batesville, MS, a daughter Jenny Johnson Bailey and husband Brad of Batesville, MS, one brother, Milton Cline "Buz" Wardlaw and wife, Judy of Starkville, MS, one sister, Olive Ruth Wardlaw Parker and husband, Jerry of Jonesboro, AR, two grandchildren, Rebekah Ruth Bailey, and Matthew Parker Johnson, nieces, Paige Parker Aleman and Woodman Wardlaw Berry, two nephews, Jeff Parker and Mitt Wardlaw, a Brother-in-Law, Arlie Vecil Dulany of Batesville, MS and her "Adopted Son", Dr. Robert Corkern and wife Missy of Batesville, MS along with her "Adopted Brother", Richard Hartley of Batesville, MS. Pallbearers are, Jeff Parker, Mitt Wardlaw, Calin Taffer, Jack Aleman, Randy Wardlaw, Robert Brown, Ray Carter, Daniel Beard and Larry Robinson.
