Charles K. Davis

Charles K. Davis, 75, passed away on Friday morning, April 12, 2013 at his home near Pope, MS. Charles is the widower of the late Willie Mae Davis of Pope, MS. Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS. Visitation will be Monday evening, April 15, 2013 from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home. Charles was born November 19, 1937 in Picayune, MS to the late Bruce Ovede Davis and Bessie Stephens Davis. Upon retiring in 2007, Charles had been a Dredge Boat Captain for 52 years. He was the Captain of "The Wallace McGeorge". Mr. Davis was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Pope, MS. Charles is survived by his three daughters, Jan Davis of Mobile, AL, Joanne Arnett of Ripley, TN, Charlene Davis Adreasen of Pope, MS; two brothers, Bruce Davis of Bogalusa, LA, Bryce Davis of Franklinton, LA; brother-in-law, Raymond Ray of Pope, MS; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family requests that anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution to sent those to the donors choice.
