Leon Elliott Ridgeway

Leon Elliott Ridgeway, age 80, passed away on Monday afternoon, March 18, 2013 at Methodist University Hospital, Memphis, TN. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 3/20/13, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Doug Tutor, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, March 19, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Leon was born in Courtland, MS on May 9, 1932 to James & Fannie Wise Ridgeway. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Ridgeway retired from Chrome Craft-Senatobia, MS, where he worked in the Tool & Dye Department. Mr. Ridgeway's survivors include his daughter, Patricia Neblett of Booneville, MS, 3 sons, Jerry Ridgeway of Courtland, Barry Ridgeway of Courtland and Leon Avery of Batesville, MS, 2 brothers, Marvin Ridgeway of Courtland, MS and James Ridgeway of Texas along with 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
