Mr. Price B. Harrison, 90 years old, passed away Thursday morning, 2/7/13, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, North MS. He was the widower of Virginia Harrison. The funeral for Mr. Harrison will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, 2/9/13, in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church, 119 Panola Ave., Batesville, with Rev. Ed Temple, Rev. Martin Case & Rev. Pat Ludlam officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia cemetery. The Harrison family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday morning at the church. Those honored to serve as pallbearers for Mr. Price include, William Harrison Nickle, Bryan Steven Nickle, Price Pittman Harrison, Monroe Mitchell Harrison, Cecil Cea Bryan and Joel Nutt. Mr. Harrison was born on June 13, 1922 in Grenada County, MS to Louie Vardaman & Montea Abel Harrison. After he graduated from Charleston High School, Price joined the United States Army and went off to defend his country during WWII. Mr. Price was the co-owner & founder of Harrison's Furniture Compmay in Batesville, MS. In 1961 he and Mrs. Virginia opened the store and today, the third generation continues to operate the family tradition with the store, which is located on 354 Hwy 6 West, Batesville. One of the great joys in Mr. Harrison's life was spending time with people and while owning and operating the store, he thoroughly enjoyed sitting and talking with his customers and friends. Many people will recall Price's love for Ole Miss Rebel Sports, St. Louis Cardinal Baseball, college and professional football, and old western movies. Mr. Harrison was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Batesville. Those whom he leaves behind include his three children, Kay Harrison Nickle and husband, Steve of Batesville, 2 sons, Stanley Bryan Harrison and loving friend, Ann McDowell of Batesville and Scott Price Harrison and wife, Mona of Batesville, MS; 2 brothers, George Jackson "Jack" Harrison of Marks, MS and Louie V. Harrison, Jr. of Winona, MS, along with 5 grandchildren, Virginia Austin Harrison Nuttand husband Joel, Price Pittman Harrison, Monroe Mitchell Harrison, William Harrison Nickle and Bryan Steven "B" Nickle. Besides his parents, he joins his wife, Virginia Bryan Harrison and sister, Katherine Harrison Whitaker in heaven. Those wishing to send memorials, may send those to any of the following: Blair E.
