Kenneth Thomas Gates

Kenneth Thomas Gates, age 52, died in his home in Roscoe, TX on Tuesday, 1/22/13. A memorial service for Mr. Gates will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, 2/2/13, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Margaret Bondurant officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday. Kenneth was born to Gloria Hale & Derryal Glen Gates on 11/27/1960 in Cleveland, MS. He was an equipment operator in the oil fields in Texas. While living in Mississippi, he worked in Cleveland, MS as a Catfish farmer and also in Marks, MS on area farms. But he felt most at home on his job in Ely, Nevada where he was a Rancher. Mr. Gates is survived by his 3 daughters, Whitnee Gates-Overstreet of Batesville, MS, Lara Atchison of Batesville, MS and Jenny Gates of Pope, MS, one son, Bryce Luchi of Florence, MS, one sister, Marsha Williams of Courtland, MS, his brother, Justin Gates of Batesville, AR, and his mother, Gloria Hale Gates of Courtland, MS along with 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Derryal Gates.
