Hilda Mae Austin, 78 years old, widow of John L. Austin, passed away Thursday morning, January 17, 2013 at her daughter's home in Enid, MS.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Austin will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, 1/19/12, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Kilgore presiding. Burial will follow in Crowder Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at Wells Funeral Home.
Hilda was born to Orna Pearl Murphree & Walter Lee Stroup on July 7, 1934 in Lambert, MS. She was a member of Crowder Baptist Church and worked as a factory worker most of her life.
To cherish her memory she leaves 4 daughtes, Debbie Cole of Courtland, MS, Pam Pelts of Pope, MS, Peggy Hawkins of Enid, MS, Abigail Brown of Lambert, MS and Marily Griffin of Courtland, MS, she also leaves a sister, Rubenia Crawley of Sardis, 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Austin and a son, Steve Austin.
