Video Memorial TributeWilliam Bailey "Bill" Peeples, age 74, husband of Linda Mahan Peeples, died Thursday morning 11/22/12 at his home, 344 Woodruff Street in Courtland, MS. Funeral services will be 2:00 O'clock P.M. Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Antioch Cemetery in Courtland, MS. Reverend Eric Payne will be officiating. Visitation will held Saturday evening, November 24, 2012 at Wells Funeral Home from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Mr. Peeples was born August 11, 1938 in Panola County, MS to the late Bailey and Mary Louetta Whitten Peeples. Bill worked for Custom Signs, Co. in Batesville, MS and was a member of Courtland Baptist Church. He also served his country in U.S. Army for four years. Bill is survived by his wife, Linda Mahan Peeples of Courtland, MS; two sons, Rocky and Ronnie Peeples both of Coldwater, MS; four daughters, Mary Elizabeth Holifield of Sardis, MS, Rita Anne Bailey of Enid, MS, Betty Jean Petit of Sardis, MS, Rebecca Frances Petit of Batesville, MS; two sisters, Lucille Moore of Pope, MS, Eva Moore of Batesville, MS; brother, Thomas Peeples; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
