David Andrew Stengel

David Andrew Stengel, age 76, passed away Saturday morning at his home near Batesville, MS.A funeral service for Mr. Stengel will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, 11/7/12, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Father Sam Messina & Reverend Howard Beam officiating.  Interment will follow in Longtown Cemetery, Crenshaw, MS.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, 11/6/12, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home with Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m.David was born on November 25, 1935 to Sadie Jozwick & Eugene Stengel in Memphis, TN.  He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Community in Batesville, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.  Mr. David was a retired Gas Pipe Fitter for Memphis Light Gas & Water.  His survivors include his wife, Catherine Huffstickler Stengel of Batesville, one daughter, Karen Woolsey of Arlington, TN, a son, Scott Stengel of Summerville, TN and a brother, Eugen Stengel of Collierville, TN; one step-daughter, Teresa Dowling of Manhattan, Kansas and one step son, Mark Rodgers of Memphis, TN; 4 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren.
