James William "Kingsnake" Tuttle, age 75, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many went to meet his master on Friday morning, 11/2/12, at his home in Byhalia, MS. He died peacefully in his home with his beloved family and friends by his side.
The funeral service for Mr. Tuttle will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, 11/5/12, at Victory Church, 21 Vinson Rd, Byhalia, MS, with Rev. Melvin Shackelford & Rev. Brownie Toehill officiating. Interment will follow in Byhalia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, 11/4/12, at Victory Church.
Jim was born on June 12, 1937, in Batesville, MS, to William & Callie Tuttle. He was the co-founder of Tri State Sprinkler, based in Memphis. He enjoyed his hunting, fishing, drag racing his own cars and RVing across country. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his quick wit, anecdotes and his incredible sense of humor. Those around him in his last days were amazed by his humor, laughter and the blessing of his upbeat attitude.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sandy; brother, Jerry Tuttle of Harmontown, MS; 4 children, Lori Wilson (Faye Watson) of Byhalia, MS, Debby Weathers (Charley) of Birmingham, AL, Tim Tuttle (Betty) of Harmontown, MS, Tammy Singleton (Mike) of Lake Wales, FL; 4 grandsons, Jim Sanderlin of Byhalia, MS, Zack Wilson of Byhalia, Tim Tuttle of Holly Springs, MS and Justin Singleton of Lake Wales, FL; as well as 3 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Victory Church, 21 Vinson Rd, Byhalia, MS 38611.
