Video Memorial TributeAudrey Mae Nelson Melton, age 87, widow of the late Billy Melton, passed away Sunday afternoon at her home near Batesville, MS. Mrs. Melton's funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 10/31/12, in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Melton & Rev. Dale Beaver officiating. Serving as Pallbearers will be: Mike Melton, Billy Joe Melton, Dan Melton, Ury Melton, Justin Cook, Chris Schiele and Vic Schiele. Jayson Cook and Jimmy Dale Hollingsworth will serve a Honorary Pallbearers. Interment will follow in Brazil Cemetery, Brazil, MS. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, 10/30/12, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Mrs. Audrey was born in Hinchcliff, MS, on June 6, 1925, to James & Katherine Mooney Norris. She was a homemaker and member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Sue Irish of Houston, TX, Ann Schiele of Lambert, MS, Jeannie Patton of Batesville and Emma Melton of Crowder, MS, 2 sons, Bobby Melton of Houston, TX and Roy Melton of Crowder, MS, 78 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Faye Melton, 3 sons, Stanley Melton, Clyde Melton and Claude Melton, one sister, Annie Bell and 2 brothers, James Norris and Henry Rogers.
