Video Memorial TributeWinford Appleton, age 66, passed away on Friday morning at his home in Courtland, MS. The funeral for Mr. Appleton will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, 10/7/12, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery with Doug Appleton, James Dickson, Michael Dickson, Brian Fortner, Thomas Ragon and Justin Tiner serving as pallbearers. Winford was born in Sardis, MS, on February 2, 1946, to James Arnold & Mary Belle Martin Appleton. During his working years he was a Technician for AT&T. Mr. Appleton was a member of Sardis Lake Baptist Church. To cherish his memory he leaves his companion, Patty Daugherty of Batesville, MS, 2 daughters, Patty Lewallen of Batesville and Kim Tiner of Courtland, MS, 5 sons, Jamie (Betty) Appleton of Courtland, Len Appleton of Courtland, Johnny Appleton, Danny Appleton of Desoto County, MS and Randy Hudson of Southaven, MS, 1 sister, Patricia Segars, 1 brother, Richard Appleton, 11 Grandchildren including: Jonathan, Tyler, Megan Brianna, Olivia, Gaby, Samantha, Haley, Sullivan and one great granddaughter, Ava. Besides his parents, he is preceded by 3 sisters, Maxine Perkins, Mary Louise Tidwell and Doris Dickson and 3 brothers, James Appleton, Alton Appleton and Brooks Appleton.
