Sarah Reed Palmer

Sarah Reed Palmer, age 84, widow of Russell Palmer, passed away on Tuesday morning, 10/2/12, at Methodist University Hospital, Memphis, TN. Dr. Tommy Snyder will officiate the funeral service of Mrs. Palmer at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, 10/4/12, in the Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday. Burial will follow in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Palmer was born in Panola County, MS on December 6, 1927, to Horace & Nellie McMinn Reed. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Batesville, MS. Sarah received her Nuclear X-ray Technician degree from The Methodist School of Radiology, Memphis, TN. After graduation she persued her career at numerous medical facilities, including Methodist Hospital, Baptist Hospital, Sardis and Grenada Hospitals. She will be missed by her family members, 2 sons, Reed Palmer (Patricia) of Memphis, TN, Russell Palmer (Linda) of Bartlett, TN, 5 Grandchildren-Russell, Amy, Niki, Jeff and JJ; and 7 Great Grandchildren.
