Susie Clarkson Smith

Susie Clarkson Smith, age 104, a resident of the Senatobia Convalescent Center, and a former resident of Courtland, MS, passed away on September 30, 2012. Mrs. Smith was born in Tallahatchie County on December 16, 1907. She was the daughter of Taylor J. and Emma Smith Clarkson. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Courtland Methodist Church in Courtland, MS. She is survived by two daughters: Mary Neff of Hollandale, MS and Eunice Speed of Albany, GA. One son: Charles Smith of Marks, MS and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. One special granddaughter, Camille Massey of Senatobia, MS She was preceded in death by her husband, Huber P. Smith and a daughter, Margaret Ann Darnell of Coldwater, MS. Visitation will be held at 2PM, followed by Memorial Services at 3PM, on Sunday, October 7, 2012, at Wells Funeral Home. Services to be conducted by Dr. Park Neff, grandson.
