Video Memorial TributeWallace Vivian Cochran, age 93, widower of Mary Rose Beckworth Cochran, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012, in Memphis, TN. Funeral services are 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, 10/2/12, at First Baptist Church Batesville, MS, with Reverend Charles Locke and Dr. Tommy Snyder officiating. Interment will be in Batesville Magnolia Cemetery with Teddy Morrow, Tim Morrow, Michael Howe, Seth Howe, Chuck Locke, Terry Locke and James Wallace Locke serving as Pallbearers. Thomas Burnett Sunday School Class and Civitan Club serving as Honorary Pallbearers. Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. until services at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, 10/2/12. Mr. Cochran was born June 2 1919, in Benton County, Mississippi, to the late Walter Grady and Mary Emily Gresham Cochran. Wallace worked for John Deere from 1949-1988 and then went to work for Graves Oil Company from 1988-1995. Mr. Cochran was a member of First Baptist Church in Batesville, MS, along with the Batesville Civitan Club. He leaves two daughters: Barbara Cochran Locke and husband Charles and Betty Cochran Morrow both of Courtland, MS. 7 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Mr. Cochran was preceded in death by parents, wife, and daughter Connie Lynn Cochran Howe. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Batesville Civitan Club at 107A Panola Ave., Batesville, MS or First Baptist Church, 104 Panola Ave., Batesville, MS 38606.
