Video Memorial TributeElizabeth Goode, age 94, wife of the late Ned Frank Goode, died Thursday afternoon 9/6/12, at Golden Living in Batesville, MS. The funeral service for Mrs. Goode will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, 9/8/12, in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Frank Davis presiding. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Cold Springs Cemetery, Sardis, MS. Serving as pallbearers for Mrs. Goode's service: Shawn Armstrong, Ronnie Charnes, Bill Fair, Chuck Johnson, Jimmy McCloud, Jim Stafford and Buzz Wardlaw. Mrs. Goode was born on September 13, 1917, in West Helena, AR, to George & Agnes Burmester Ragsdale. She retired from South Panola Schools after being a Teacher's Assistant for 12 years. She was a member of the North Mississippi Daylily Society and member of the Blackjack Home Maker's Club. Mrs. Goode was also a member of Cold Springs United Methodist Church in Sardis, MS. Her survivors include: 2 Daughters, Agnes Kay Goode of Batesville, MS, Joe Ann Carter Pace of Memphis, TN, 2 Sons, Danny Goode (Dorothy) of Germantown, TN, Frank Brooks Goode of Senatobia, MS, one Sister, Mildred Harper of Madison, MS and a Brother, Earl "Sonny" Ragsdale of Helena, AR. Mrs. Goode was the proud Grandmother of 8 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren. The family asks anyone who wishes to send memorials, please send those to Cold Springs United Methodist Church, Sardis, MS.
