Video Memorial TributeBrenda Louise Davis, 62, wife of Kem Davis, passed away Saturday evening, September 1, 2012 at her home in Batesville, MS.
Funeral services will be 2:00 o'clock p.m. Monday, September 3, 2012 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS. Dr. David Ball and Mr. Michael Bates will be officiating. David Guthrie, Steve Guthrie, Lynn May, Gary Cheek, Dennis Land, and Bob Burkes will be serving as pallbearers.
Brenda was born April 30, 1950 in Charleston, MS to David and Mildred Little Guthrie. She was a former cotton broker and bookkeeper for Yocona Gin. Brenda was of the baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Kem Davis of Batesville, MS; daughter, Karon Lee Reed of Memphis, TN; son, Brent Samual Davis of Batesville, MS; mother, Mildred Little Guthrie of Batesville, MS; three sisters, Tina Guthrie Cheek (Gary) of Kosciusko, MS, Ethel Guthrie Donovan (Lee) of Collierville, TN, Millie Guthrie May (Lynn) of Coldwater, MS; two brothers, David Guthrie (Patsy) of Oakland, MS, Steven Guthrie (Bonnie) of Sardis, MS; three grandchildren, Adien, James and Ava.
Preceding Brenda in death was her father, David Guthrie and grandparents, Maurice and Sadie Little of Charleston, MS along with her two sons, Lee Hanks Holland and Kem Victor Davis, Jr.
