Video Memorial TributeWilliam E. "W.E." Wigley, Jr., age 85, passed away at Tri-Lakes Medical Center on Monday afternoon, 8/20/12. Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Gary Berry & Rev. Roger Richards at 2:30 p.m. on Wed., 8/22/12, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Wednesday, 8/22/12, afternoon at Wells Funeral Home. Mr. Wigley was born in Coxburg, MS, on Feb. 15, 1927, to Lucille Reynolds & William Edward Wigley, Sr. He worked over 25 years as a supervisor and foreman for both Panola, Inc. & Batesville American. "W.E." served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII. Mr. Wigley was a member of Pope Baptist Church. He also served as a Mason and was a member of the Lions Club and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Among his survivors: his spouse, Margaret Tidwell Wigley of Batesville, MS, 2 daughters, Betty Killebrew (Johnny) of Vicksburg, MS, Debre Darby (Jeff) of Courtland, MS, one son, William Edward "Bill" Wigley, III (Debbie) of Batesville, MS, 7 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. Serving as Pallbearers for Mr. Wigley's service, Shane Wigley, Steve Wigley, Chad Darby, Scott Hoofman, Kevin Hatton, Jonathan McBride. Honorary Pallbearers, Greg O'Conner, Adam Marquez, Allen Grantham and Sidney Burns. The family requests anyone wishing to send contributions in Mr. Wigley's memory, to forward those to Pope Baptist Church, P.O. Box 34, Pope, MS 38658.
