Austin Cain

Austin Cain, age 79, passed away Sunday morning, August 19, 2012 at his home in Batesville, MS. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Forrest Memorial Park. Reverend Jimmy Cain will be presiding over the service. The family of Mr. Cain will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home. James Hall, Scotty Mitchell, Chris Shafer, Rodney Sullivan, Terry Bright, and Charlie Duke will be serving as pallbearers with Jason Henry and Randy Bradley serving as honorary pallbearers. Austin was born January 20, 1933 in Brewton, AL to the late Ashley and Eller Bell Shell Cain. Mr. Cain was the owner of Cain's Water Well Service and a honorably disharged veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Frances Kiser Cain of Batesville, MS; daughter, Angie Cain Legge of Batesville, MS; four sons, Alvis Cain of Pope, MS, Randy Cain, Melvin Cain and Danny Cain all of Batesville, MS; sister Ethel Cain Hammock of Brewton, AL; brother, Nelson Cain of Richton, MS; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
