Video Memorial TributeMr. A.C.Smith, age 80, husband of Ginger Smith, died on Tuesday morning, 8/7/12, in Quitman County Nursing Home. On Saturday, 8/11/12, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Kevin Crofford will officiate the funeral service for Mr. A.C. at Sardis Lake Bapitst Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Smith will be held on Saturday, 8/11/12, at the church from 11:00 a.m. until service time. A.C. was born on January 21, 1932, to John Milton & Ethel Margaret Holland Smith in Shiloh, TN. He was a member of Sardis Lake Baptist Church. Mr. Smith worked as a Security Guard for the Quitman County Hospital and Quitman County Nursing Home. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Ginger Faye Rogers Smith of Marks, MS, daughter, Cheryl Smith Steele of Estill Springs, TN, step-daughter, Michelle Hawkins Biggers of Millington, TN, 3 sons, A.C. Smith, Jr. of Marks, MS, Glenn Smith of Yorkville, IL and Marty Smith of Oswego, IL, step-son, Ken Hawkins of Houston, TX, sister, Betty Smith Thompson of Adamsville, TN, 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ernestine Nelson Smith.
