Video Memorial TributeGeorgia Ann Earwood Laughlin age 72, wife of Jon Laughlin, died Wednesday evening, 7/18/12, at her home in Batesville, MS. Mrs. Laughlin's funeral will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, 7/21/12, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Forrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday morning, 7/21/12, at Wells Funeral Home. Ann was born in Gunnison, MS to Andrew J. & Bessie Holcombe Earwood on June 14, 1940. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God. Mrs. Ann was involved in the community as a radio dispatcher for the Mt. Olivet Volunteer Fire Dept. She also enjoyed being the editor of the "Mt. Olivet News" portion of The Panolian Newspaper for many years. Mrs. Laughlin is survived by her husband, Jon H. Laughlin of Batesville, MS; 2 daughters, Diane Miller Wolfe of Sardis, MS and Cathy Miller Tutor of Houston, MO; 4 sons, James Miller of Batesville, MS, Jim Laughlin of Humbolt, TN, Jeff Laughlin of Florence, AL and Jon Alan Laughlin of Buda, TX; sister, Beth Earwood Craig of Jackson, MS; brother, Len Earwood of Jackson, MS; 20 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Margaret Ann Weaver; a son, John Wesley Miller and a sister, Margarite Parker.
