Coleman Glenn Raines age 85, husband of Bettye Appleton Raines, died Friday 7/6/12 at East Medical Center in Tyler, TX. Services will be Tuesday 7/10/12 at 10:00 AM at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home of Palestine, TX. Interment will follow at 10:00 AM Thursday 7/12/12 at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS with Wells Funeral Home of Batesville, MS in charge of local arrangements. Mr. Raines was born March 8, 1927 in Slocum, TX to the late George Furman and Amanda Andrews Raines. Coleman worked for Knox Glass of Palestine, TX. Also he was an Anderson County reserve deputy for 14 Years. Mr. Raines was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was an avid outdoorsman and gardener. He is survived by his wife Bettye Appleton Ranies; Daughters: Pamela Raines Quinn and husband Ed and Toni Raines; Step-Daughters: Joy Appleton Seckler and husband Keith and Mary Ann Appleton Eddins and husband James; Sons: David Raines and wife Joyce and Craig Raines and wife Patricia; Step-Son: James Appleton and wife Ann and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cousins.
