Video Memorial TributeDonald Gene "Donnie" Mehan, age 61, husband of Debbie Arnold Mehan, died Friday morning, 6/22/12, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North Mississippi in Oxford, MS. On June 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM funeral services will be officiated by Reverend Tim Ellis at Bethany Baptist Church. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope, MS. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 pm Sunday 6/24/12 at Wells Funeral Home. Donnie was born October 18, 1950 in Batesville, MS to James W. and Alice Marie Joiner Mehan. He was a retired inspector for MDOT and was a engineer consultant at time of his death. Donnie was a member of Bethany Baptist Church where he served on many church boards. Survivors are his wife Debbie Arnold Mehan of Pope, MS; Daughter: Whitney Mehan Aldridge and husband Wade of Batesville, MS; Parents: James W. and Alice Marie Joiner Mehan of Pope, MS; Sister: Sandra Mehan Pitcock of Batesville, MS; Brother: Jerry T. Mehan of Pope, MS and a number of nieces and nephews. Donnie was preceded in death by his brother John Wayne Mehan. Family request memorials to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to Bethany Baptist Church 4112 Hubbard Road, Courtland, MS  38620  Jeff Cannon, Daniel Cole, Wade Davis, Keith File, Terry File and Butch Jaudon will serve as pallbearers for Donnie's service.
