Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, 6/23/12, at Crowder Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Kilgore officiating. Interment will follow in Crowder cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Mrs. Atkinson was born on January 29, 1918 in Abbeville, MS to Alvin Clark & Gertrude Brock Cobb. She was a homemaker and member of Crowder Baptist Church. Her survivors include 5 daughters, Brenda Atkinson Wiggs of Marks, MS, Betty Atkinson Flesher of Littleton, CO, Edna Sue Atkinson Watson of Waterford, MS, Frances Merle Atkinson Saunders of Denver, CO, Martha Atkinson Cannon of Batesville, MS; 3 sons, A.C. Atkinson of Batesville, MS, Van Atkinson of Birmingham, AL, and William Walter "Billy" Atkinson, Jr. of Batesville; 26 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren.
