Wanda Kay Moore Brinson

Wanda Kay Moore Brinson, 58 years old, passed away at her home in Sardis, MS Thursday evening, June 7, 2012. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, 6/18/12 at Sardis Lake Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Crofford officiating. Wanda Kay was born in Sardis to Georgie Frances & Arthur S. Moore, Jr. on January 22, 1954. She was raised in Sardis by her grandparents, the late Charlie and Pat Dettor. Wanda Kay attended North Panola High School and then went on to nursing school. She worked as a surgery nurse for Semmes-Murphy Clinic in Memphis, TN until retirement and then began her career as a traveling nurse; where she most recently worked in California. She leaves her husband of 14 years, Vernon Brinson of Sardis; 2 brothers, Edward Moore (Debbie) of Ridgeland, MS, James "Jimbo" Moore (Pam) of Brandon, MS; 2 sisters, Trisha Sears and Johna Sheley of Sardis; mother, Georgie Frances Dettor Bryant of Sardis, MS; her In-Laws, Julius & Janice Brinson of Senatobia, MS; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and her extended family, David & Michelle Brinson of Coldwater, MS and Jeff & Hectorne of Hernando, MS.
