Click Here To View Video Memorial TributeMary M. Jenkins, 81, widow of Curtis Jenkins, passed away Wednesday evening, May 30, 2012, at her home in Batesville, MS.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, 6/2/12, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Rayford Ables and Dr. Tommy Snyder officiating. Visitation will be begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday and continue until service time. Interment will follow in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mary was born on November 6, 1930 in Calhoun City, MS to Dewey Wayne & Clady Modess Cannon McGregory. She was a homemaker and member of The First Baptist Church in Batesville where she was a member of the JOY Club. She was also a member of the Friendship Quilters. Mrs. Mary used her God given talents to make quilts for the Honduran people, of Central America, as part of the Honduras Missions Outreach.
Her survivors include: 3 sons, Ralph Jenkins of Scottsdale, AZ, Milton Jenkins of Shorewood, IL, and Tony Jenkins of Calhoun, GA; 6 sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Stutson of Byhalia, MS, Sarah Perkins of Memphis, TN, Shirley Jenkins of Crenshaw, MS, Linda Humphrey of Houlka, MS, Patsy Edwards of Beebe, AR and Peggy Bowie of Atoka, TN; 3 brothers, Wayne McGregory of Sterling, IL, James McGregory of Batesville, MS and Eddie McGregory of Palestine, AR; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gene McGregory.
Barry Bowie, Brian Jenkins, Milt Jenkins, Ralph Jenkins, Todd Jenkins, Tony Jenkins, Ricky Jones and James McGregory will serve as pallbearers for Mrs. Jenkins service.
