Click Here To View Video Memorial TributeTony S. Daugherty, age 64 of Courtland, passed away on Monday afternoon, 4/30/12, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, 5/5/12, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Howell officiating.  Burial to follow at Forrest Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends on Friday evening, 5/4/12, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Tony was born to Selmer & Marlene Pearson Daugherty in Drew, MS on April 13, 1948. Tony worked for Sears as a Service Technician for 35 years. He was a Baptist in faith. Tony was survived by his wife, Gracie Reese Messer of Savage, MS; 2 daughters, Gayla Daugherty Cooper of Strayhorn, MS and Toni Marie Daugherty Kitchens of Oxford, MS; his mother, Marlene Pearson Daugherty of Courtland, MS; 3 sisters, Carolyn Daugherty Peters of Memphis, TN, Kathleen Daugherty Bonner of Courtland, MS and Joan Daugherty Zimmer of Batesville, MS; 3 brothers, James Daugherty of Courtland, MS, Jimmy Daugherty of Southaven, MS, Gary Daugherty and 6 grandchildren. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Selmer Daugherty; a sister, Mary Jane and 2 brothers, Tommy & Bobby Joe.
