Click Here To View Video Memorial TributeW.T. Hawkins, age 73, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012 at his home in Sardis, MS. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 19, 2012 at Wells Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon before the service. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery with Reverend Richard Teague officiating. Pallbearers will be David Wilson, Nathan Slinkard, Michael Hawkins, Chris Cook, James Miller, David Tilley, Jr. and Johnny Carmichael. Mr. Hawkins was born April 4, 1938 in Marks, MS to the late William Carl and Dovie Hollinger Hawkins. W.T. was a retired tree surgeon. He is survived by his loving companion, Mary Dean Lewellen of Sardis, MS; three daughters, Brenda Faye Hawkins of Sardis, MS, Deborah K. Wilson of Conway, AR, Wendy Renee Slinkard of Marion, AR; three step-children, Theresa Sartin, Billy Lewellen and Patty Lewellen all of Sardis, MS; two sisters, Nina Carmichael of Byhalia, MS, Linda Higgins of Greenwood, MS; two brothers, Jimmy Dale and Billy Gene Hawkins both of Water Valley, MS; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
