Click Here To View Video Memorial TributeBenjamin "Ben" S. Burgos, age 90, widower of Violet Holmes Burgos, died Thursday morning, 12/8/11, at his home in Batesville, MS. Funeral services, with military honors, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, 12/12/11, in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tino Trevino presiding. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday and continue until service time. Interment to follow in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Burgos was born on February 19, 1921 to Maria Solis Burgos & Benjamin Burgos, Sr. in Ajande, Mexico. He was a member of the La Primera Baptist Mission Church in Batesville, MS. Mr. Burgos worked in Property Maintenance at the Panola County Country Club. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He is survived by his brother, David Burgos of Ft. Campbell, KY; 2 sisters, Alpha Contreras of Eupora, MS, and Martha Andino of New Orleans, LA. Besides his parents, Mr. Burgos was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Raquel Burgos & Naomi Alfaro and 4 brothers, Joe Burgos, Biledo Burgos, Joel Burgos, Sr., & Eli Burgos, Sr.
