Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Eureka Cemetery in Courtland, MS. Reverend Chris Cooksey will be officiating. The family will reveive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday evening at Wells Funeral Home. Jacob was born on July 22, 1989 to Susan Overton Ivy & Thomas Ivy in Sardis, MS. He was a Baptist and worked as a Chef. Jacob graduated from Ridgeway High School in 2007 where he was active in football and baseball. He was also a member of the school choir. After graduation, Jacob attended Middle Tennessee State University where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity and also attended Pellissippi College in Knoxville, TN. He leaves his mother, Susan Overton Ivy of Sardis, MS and his father, Thomas Ivy and wife Jeannie of Batesville, MS; Companion, Laura Bothne of Memphis, TN; two Sisters, Dianne Johnson of Sardis, MS & Michele Henry of Sardis, MS; two brothers, David Beck of Sardis and Colt Allen of Batesville; Maternal Grandparents, Roy & Marilyn Overton of Ripley, TN & Cliff & Margie Rowland of Brownsville, TN; Paternal Granparents, Rainey & Nell Homeyer of Memphis, TN; two nieces, Amanda Lynn Henry of Sardis and Ava Michele Beck of Hernando, MS; three nephews, Hunter Henry, Tristen Henry & Zach Taylor all of Sardis, MS. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather, Bill Ivy, Sr. of Sardis, MS.
