Albert Dwight Shepherd

Albert Dwight Shepherd age 83, died Saturday evening 11/12/11 at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, 11/16/11 at First Presbyterian Church in Charleston, MS with Rev. Andy Halsey officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Inurnment will follow in Winona Garden of Memory, Winona, MS. Mr. Shepherd was born May 23, 1928 in Neshoba County Mississippi to Harper C. & Bonnie Thomas Shepherd. Dwight retired after 41 years with Entergy (Mississippi Power & Light) as an office manager in Charleston, MS. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Charleston, MS and served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife Margaret Truitt Shepherd- Charleston, MS; 2 Daughters: Kaye Shepherd Allison- Benton, MS; Beth Shepherd Bond (Mike)- Collierville, TN; 3 Sisters: Neda Shepherd Byars & Brenda Shepherd Sims of Philadelphia, MS; Sybil Shepherd McNair- Brookhaven, MS: 3 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren. He is preceeded in death by his parents Harper C. & Bonnie Thomas Shepherd; Sister: Vivian Shepherd Hardy and Brother: Ray Shepherd.
