Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, 11/8/11, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Paul Middleton presiding. Interment will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Batesville, MS. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, 11/7/11, from 5-8 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Mr. McCain was born to Robert Herman & Marguerite Lucy Austin McCain on March 7, 1945 in Lafayette County, MS. For over 39 years, Mr. Bill owned and operated McCain Builders in Batesville. He served his country in the United States Army, as well. Mr. McCain was a member of First Baptist Church, Batesville, MS and a Life Member of the National Rifle Association. He is survived by his wife, Ann McGehee McCain of Batesville, MS, 2 sons, David Bryan (Laura Leigh)McCain of Batesville, MS and William Glenn (Jennifer) McCain of Batesville, MS, 3 sisters, Betty Watts of Oxford, MS, Dr. Dolores Barnett of Batesville, MS and Kathy Tidwell (Larry) of Batesville, MS, along with 6 granddaughters, Katelyn, Madison, Lucy, Rachel, Anna, Zoe. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his 4 brothers, Mike Watts, Billy Watts, Herman McCain & Joe McCain. The family requests that memorials be sent to The American Heart Association.
