Hewlett G. Hubbard

Hewlett G. Hubbard age 83 of Batesville, Ms., husband of Sally Jo Hawkins Hubbard, died Saturday morning 10/1/11 in St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Ms.. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Monday, October 3, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow in Shiloh Cemetery. The family receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Reverend Doug Sullivan-Gonzalez will be officiating the service. Mr. Hubbard was born October 11, 1927 in Pope, MS to the late Guy Hewlett and Ada Pitcock Hubbard. Hewlett was a member of Independence Presbyterian Church and was the retired manager of Gagliano's in Memphis, TN. After retiring and moving to Batesville, MS, he enjoyed driving a school bus for South Panola School District. He was also an avid Ole Miss and South Panola Football fan. Mr. Hubbard is survived by his wife, Sally Jo Hawkins Hubbard of Batesville, MS; son, Robert Guy "Bob" Hubbard of Hot Springs, AR; daughter, Renee Hubbard Dunn of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren, Robert Allen Hubbard of North Carolina, Staci Gowan of Sikeston, MO, Melissa McNabb of Memphis, TN; two great-grandchildren, Jameson Hewlett Gowan and Calie Michelle McNabb.
