Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, 9/16/11, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Raymond Aven & Reverend Rayford Ables officiating. Interment will follow in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Batesville, MS. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, 9/15/11 at Wells Funeral Home. Mr. Clark was born to James A. & Sewell Lavelle Clark on Jan. 5, 1934, in Reed, Mississippi. He was a self employeed construction worked for many years and after retirement, he went on to work for Panola Construction. Mr. Clark was a member of Fairhope Baptist Church in Crenshaw, MS. Survivors include his wife, Margie Herring Clark of Batesville, MS;, 3 daughters, Glenda Clark Aven of Batesville, Dorothy Clark Maddux of Batesville, and Darlene Clark Lawrence of Batesville, MS; 3 sons, Donald "Donnie" Clark of Batesville, MS, Raymond Len Clark of Pope, MS, James "Jimmy" Clark of Batesville, MS; 3 sisters, Ruth Hodges Reichert of Batesville, MS, Sandra Harris of Batesville, MS and Diane Patton of Pope, MS; 1 brother, A.C. Clark of Batesville, MS; 11 Grandchildren & 17 Great-Grandchildren. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, James A. & Sewell Lavelle Clark, 1 sister, Alymira Clark and 3 brothers, Hubert, Billy & Lewis Clark. Pallbearers will be: Billy Zane Clark, Jr., Lewis Clark, Jr., Ronnie Hodges, Tommy Hellen, Terry Williams, Jimmy Williams, Dewayne Williams and Bill Joiner.
