Mary Champlain, 75, passed away Friday evening, August 5, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Desoto in Southaven, MS. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, 8/12/11, at Antioch Cemetery in Oxford, MS. Visitation will take place from 8:00-9:00 a.m. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel, Batesville, MS. Mrs. Champlain was born October 9, 1935 in Oxford, MS to the late Rube Earl and Ethel Lee White. She was a homemaker and member of The Latter-Day Saints. Mrs. Champlain was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles E. Champlain; brothers, Norman White & Tucker White; and sisters, Verna Herring & Jimmie Darby. Mrs. Champlain is survived by her daughters, Freda Champlain Carson of Byhalia, MS; Dianna Champlain of Southaven, MS; Cherryl Champlain Wester of Horn Lake, MS; sons, Charles E. Champlain, Jr. of Memphis, TN; & Darryll L. Champlain of Byhalia, MS; brothers, Leland White, of Savanah, GA; & Olen White of Pope, MS; 10 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
