Filion of Batesville, Ms., died Monday morning 7/18/2011 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Crofford officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Lake Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation wil be 5-8 PM Friday, July 22, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home. Mr. Filion was born October 4, 1943 in Quebec, Canada to the late Lion Anthime & Dorilda Lachance Filion. He was retired from Batesville Casket Company in Quality Control and as Plant Manager. He was also a member of Sardis Lake Baptist Church and a U. S. Army Veteran. Mr. Filion is survived by his wife, Dorothy F. Filion of Batesville, MS; 2 daughters, Danielle Filion of Nashua, NH; and Janice Tiero of Nashua, NH; 4 sons, Kenneth Filion of Milford, NH; Scott Filion of Cohasset, MA; Rick Bowdoin of Pope, MS and Bryan Bowdoin of Water Valley, MS; 2 sisters, Denise Filion and Claudett Filion both of Quebec Canada; 5 brothers, Jacques Filion, Armond Filion, Andre Filion, Renald Filion and Guy Filion all of Quebec, Canada; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to LeBonheur Children's Medical Center Foundation, P.O. Box 41817, Memphis, TN 38174-1817.
