Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Kilgore officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Ray was born August 28, 1937 in Crowder, MS to the late Clint and Pauline Turner. Ray was a farmer and member of Crowder Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Peggy Rotenberry Turner of Crowder, MS; daughter, Stacy Turner Gee of Como, MS; son, Steve Turner of Como, MS; one brother, William L. Turner of Crowder, MS; four sisters, Bennie Turner Vail of Baton Rouge, LA, Shirley Turner Rotenberry of Crowder, MS, Lilly Turner Newton of Crowder, MS, Bonnie Turner Burks of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Robin Vail, Jessie Simmerman, Barry Simmerman, Clinton Rotenberry, Mackie Rotenberry, Wade Marberry and David Durham. Bruce Turner will serve as a honorary pallbearer.
