Click here to view Video Memorial Tribute William J. "Billy" Faulkner, Sr. age 71, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at his home on Dummy Line Road in Batesville, MS. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home with interment in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Billy was born Janaury 26, 1940 in Courtland, MS to the late Jarrett and Janie Louise Milam Faulkner. Billy was a member of Enon Baptist Church, former members of the Batesville Lions Club and Batesville Volunteer Fire Department (Rescue Unit) and was a retired salesman. He also served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard. Billy is survived by his wife, Betty McMillan Faulkner of Batesville, MS; three daughters, Bricy Faulkner Weaver and husband Herbert of Tupelo, MS, Jeanne Faulkner Gant and husband Clifton Wade of Sardis, MS, Jerri Faulkner Griffin and husband Todd of Batesville, MS; son, William J. Faulkner, Jr. and wife Nicole of Brandon, MS; sister, Emma Lou Faulkner Magee of Batesville, MS; seven grandchildren, Thomas Joel Murphy and wife Corie, Michael Justin Murphy and wife Jessica, Bryce Griffin, Leigh Taylor Griffin, Jessi Claire Griffin, Jarrett Wade Faulkner and Wesley Britt Faulkner; two great-grandchildren, Dalton Brock Murphy and John Kade Murphy.
