Click Here To View Video Memorial TributeEleanor N. White, age 71, wife of Hosey White of Batesville, MS died on Friday morning, 6/3/11 at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Donnie Stewart and Dr. Robert Self officiating. Interment will follow at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. Mrs. White's family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home. On July 22, 1939, Eleanor was born to the late Eldon T. and Evelyn Cummings Neely. Mrs. White was a faithful member of Enon Baptist Church in Batesville, MS and was also a homemaker and pianist. Eleanor is survived by her husband, Hosey Max White of Batesville, MS; daughter, Gaeba Barnett Magness of Batesville, MS; son, Jason N. Barnett of Batesville, MS; step-daughter, Cindy White McNally of Boston, MA; sister, Ruth Neely Jernigan (Jerry) of Sardis, MS, and her six grandchildren, Jeremy B. Magness, Darcy McNally, Rebecca McNally, Hannah McNally, Chrissy White and Ariel Austin. Preceding Eleanor in death was her first husband, L. Jones Barnett and son-in-law, Phillip Bradford Magness. Those serving as active pallbearers will be, Jamie Barnett, Jody Morris, Wally Riley, Bill McNally, Dennis Darby, and Tommy Hudson; Honorary will be Charlie and Jo Ross, Bubba Gray and Joan Bailey, James Roy and Dotsy Waller, Dave and Ruth Colson, Burl and Quida Pollock, Gary Dixon and wife, Jimmy and Agnes Barnett, Kermit and Barbara Vance, and Ollie Grant.
