Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Berry officiating and Reverend Roger Richards assisting. Interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be 1:00 PM Saturday until time of service at Wells Funeral Home.
Mrs. Maxcy was born August 9, 1917 in Darling, MS to the late William Bayless & Rosa Ann Pearson Herring. She was a Librarian, homemaker and member of Pope Baptist Church. Mrs. Maxcy was a resident of Enid, MS and formerly of Lambert, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Mrs. Maxcy is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Maxcy Bailey (Glenn) of Enid, MS; sons, William E. Maxcy, Jr. (Betsy) of Tupelo, MS; Phillip L. Maxcy (Patsy) of Enid, MS; 7 grandchildren: Rosanne (Eric) Brown, Cindy (Matthew) Hale, Victor (Brandi) Bailey, Angela Rowsey, Victoria Bailey (fiance' Jason Nabors), Kristen Maxcy, Rebecca Maxcy and 7 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Victor G. Bailey, Jr., Eric Brown, Matthew Hale, Jason Nabors, Jimmy Bailey and Frank Herring.
