Click here to view Video Memorial TributeMr. Clyde McGehee age 86 husband of Jewel McGehee, died May 7, 2011 at his residence in Sardis, MS. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Hebron Cemetery in Sardis, MS. Dr. David Ball, Reverend Ray Legge and Reverend Terry Tribble will be officiating the services. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Mr. McGehee was born December 20, 1924 in Batesville, MS to the late Charles and Hazel Hill McGehee. During WW II, Mr. McGehee was a tank driver for the 2nd Armored Division of the U.S Army, and upon his Honorable Discharge, he had risen to the rank of TEC-5. Mr. McGehee worked as auto mechanic for Dee's Motor Company in Sardis, MS. Survivors include his wife, Jewel Appleton McGehee of Sardis, MS; four sons, Charles Franklin McGehee of Sardis, MS, Larry McGehee (Myra) of Coldwater, MS, Billy McGehee (June) of Sardis, MS, John McGehee (Sandy) of Hernando, MS; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Mr. McGehee was preceded in death by one son, Cecil Clyde McGehee, Jr.; two brothers, Rodney & Floyd McGehee.
