Martha Womack Byers

Martha Womack Byers, age 85, widow of Charles Grady Byers, Jr., passed away at her daughter's home in Pontotoc, MS on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday morning, April 8, 2011 at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. At the families request, there will be no visitation. Ms. Byers was born July 31, 1925 in Batesville, MS to the late James L. and Martha Sivley Womack and was a homemaker. Martha is survived by her daughters, Robbie Byers of Pontotoc, MS, Fran Byers of Batesville, MS; sister, Joyce Whitaker of Batesville, MS; two grandchildren, Jennifer Zupo (Robert) of Sequin, TX, Michael McCullar (Britney) of New Braunfels, TX; two great-grandchildren, Waylon Grady McCullar of New Braunfels, TX, Brooklyn Fay Zupo of Sequin, TX and two step-great-grandchildren, Weston and Wyatt of New Braunfels. Other than Ms. Byers husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sara Jane Byers McCullar and her sister, Ann Smith.
