Wanda Joy Flint, age 53, formerly of Batesville, MS died February 23, 2011 at her home in Grenada, MS.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, February 28, 2011 at Unity Baptist Church in Duck Hill, MS with Rev. Fletcher Morman officiating.
Wanda was born October 25, 1957 in Shaw, MS to the late Roy Milton and Pearline Woods Flint. She was a member of Way of Life Ministries in Grenada, MS and had a strong faith in God. She was an LPN and in nursing for many years and was in construction work for a while also, and this was by far her favorite occupation. She ended her working career at Batesville Casket. Wanda had a love for music, dancing, life and had very strong family values. Her children said she was kind, loving and was a very supportive mother and loved her grandchildren. She was a small woman with a very big heart and a friend to all in need.
Ms. Flint is survived by her son, Adam Birdsong of Grenada, MS daughters, Tanya Birdsong Mullen of Grenada, MS and Joanne Huskey of Grenada, MS: sister, Linda Seawright, Barbara Gail Trusty, Sandy Melton, and Rhonda Sherwood all of Grenada, MS: father of her children, Gralin Birdsong of Grenada, MS; 6 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
