Billy W. “BW” Fowler age 82, formerly of Courtland, MS died Wednesday, February 23, 2011 in Odyssey Hospice House in Conroe, TX.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home Batesville, MS with Rev. Clay Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Eureka Private Cemetery, Courtland, MS.
Billy was born on September 4, 1928 in Courtland, MS to John Angelo and Nettie Hyland Fowler. He worked as a Superintendant for Texaco Chemical Construction in Conroe, TX. Billy also served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the 32nd Degree Masonic Lodge. Billy had a very giving heart and his generosity was responsible for jump starting numerous lives of those he came in contact with through the years.
Survivors include, 2 brothers, Harry Fowler of Walnut, MS and Douglas "Doug" Fowler of Courtland, MS; twin sister, Ossie Fay Fowler White of Lufkin, TX; caregivers, Bret & Kim Bartholet of Conroe, TX; a host of nieces & newphews & friends in Conroe.
Besides his parents, Billy was preceded by 5 brothers, Coleman, Miles, Rupert, Bob & Mitchell Fowler, and 4 sisters, Irene Porter, Margaret Burns, Louise Lipe & Mae Etta Brewer.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Friday, February 25, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home.
