Marks, MS; Jack D. Martin, age 79 died Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Quitman County Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Kilgore officiating. Interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2 PM Thursday prior to service. Mr. Martin was born May 28, 1931 in Walnut Grove, MS. He was a retired Barber and was of the Baptist Faith. He also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Martin is survived by his daughter, Regina Martin Morgan of Enumclaw, WA; sister, Betty J. DeLaurenti of Mercer Island, WA; cousins, Judy H. Bland of Marks, MS; Bobby Hudson of Marks, MS; Bonnie Everett Kairit of Batesville, MS; & Eva Everett Penrose of Pensicola, FL; and 2 grandchildren.
